What is the framework and why is it useful to me?

The skills framework has been developed for the ODP by operational delivery colleagues across Government and represents the diverse breadth of roles we see in the Civil Service.

Whether you work in an operational delivery role already, or you are looking to move into operational delivery from another profession, the skills framework will support you in your career planning.

Follow these steps

If you want to develop your skills, first of all you need to understand which job family and role cluster you belong to, or wish to belong to, and what skills are relevant to the role cluster. Once you understand the job families and skills, you can find and access appropriate learning mapped to the core skills.
